Contact Form

When you submit a message through our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message. This information is sent to George Pu via email and is not stored in a database. Your email address is used only to reply to your message. We do not add you to any mailing list or share your information with third parties.

Analytics & Cookies

We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site and improve the experience. This data is anonymous. No data is sold or monetized.

If you are visiting from the EU, UK, or Switzerland, we will ask for your cookie preference before enabling analytics, in compliance with GDPR and Switzerland's revDSG:

• Essential only — we store only your consent preference in your browser (localStorage). No analytics or tracking.
• Accept all — in addition to essentials, we enable Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.

For visitors outside these regions, analytics run by default as permitted under local regulations (e.g. PIPEDA in Canada, no federal cookie law in the US). We do not use tracking cookies for advertising or retargeting.

No user data is sold, monetized, or shared with advertisers. These services are used solely to improve the performance and experience of the website.

AI-Generated Audio Content

Some blog posts on this site include an audio version generated using AI voice technology. These audio narrations are produced by an automated text-to-speech system that mimics the voice of George Pu. The audio is a synthesized reading of the written essay and is not a human recording.

The audio player stores your playback position in your browser's localStorage so you can resume listening where you left off. This data stays entirely on your device — it is not transmitted to our servers or any third party.

No personal data is collected through the audio player. We do not track what you listen to, how long you listen, or any other audio-related behavior.

Your Rights

You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email. You can also contact us to request deletion of your data. If you are in the EU/EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under GDPR (or equivalent local legislation) including the right to access, rectify, and port your personal data.

Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes arising from this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
